WarnerMedia has moved quickly to respond to fresh criticism from Justice League star Ray Fisher, who has hit out at Warner Bros. on Twitter once again in the wake of yesterday’s news that Black Panther comic book writer Ta-Nehisi Coates is set to team with J.J. Abrams for a Superman movie reboot based around a black incarnation of the Man of Steel.
Do ya’ll remember that time Walter Hamada and @wbpictures tried to destroy a Black man’s credibility, and publicly delegitimize a very serious investigation, with lies in the press?

Wasting little time in responding to Fisher’s tweet, WarnerMedia released the following statement to the press:
“Once again there are false statements being made about our executives and our company surrounding the recent Justice League investigation. As we have stated before, an extensive and thorough third-party investigation was conducted. Our executives, including Walter Hamada, fully cooperated, no evidence was found of any interference whatsoever, and Warner Bros. did not lie in the press. It’s time to stop saying otherwise and move forward productively.”
Warner’s statement also included comments from former federal judge Katherine B. Forrest, who conducted the investigation into Ray Fisher’s initial allegations of mistreatment by Joss Whedon and DC Films executives Geoff Johns and Jon Berg during reshoots for Josstice League:
“I am disappointed by continued public statements made suggesting that Walter Hamada in any way interfered with the Justice League investigation. He did not. I interviewed him extensively on more than one occasion and specifically interviewed him concerning his very limited interaction with Mr. Fisher. I found Mr. Hamada credible and forthcoming. I concluded that he did nothing that impeded or interfered with the investigation. To the contrary, the information that he provided was useful and advanced the investigation.”

Fisher was initially set to reprise his role as Cyborg in The Flash before his public spat with WarnerMedia and DC Films chief Walter Hamada led to his removal from the film. He did however take part in reshoots late last year for Zack Snyder’s Justice League, which premieres on HBO Max on March 18th.
