Kingsley Ben-Adir joins Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn in Marvel’s Secret Invasion

March 16, 2021 by Matt Rodgers

Kingsley Ben-Adir is a rising star, so much so that he has actually been nominated for that very thing at this year’s BAFTA awards, but now it seems he’s about to travel among them for Marvel’s Secret Invasion, having been cast as a lead alongside Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn for the forthcoming Disney+ series.

Currently riding high on the critical acclaim for his performance as Malcolm X in Regina King’s superb One Night in Miami…, Deadline have exclusively revealed that Ben-Adir will play “a lead villain on the show”, although this is yet to be confirmed by the secretive folk over at Marvel.

Ben-Adir has made his name in television, appearing in Peaky Blinders, Vera, the criminally short-lived High Fidelity, and perhaps most impressively as Karim in season 2 of The OA.

SEE ALSO: Marvel’s Secret Invasion won’t be an all-encompassing MCU event like Avengers: Endgame

Secret Invasion will reunite Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury with his Captain Marvel counterpart Talos, played by Ben Mendelsohn, in a crossover event that will begin filming sometime this spring.
