Searching 2 sets its cast

April 16, 2021 by Gary Collinson

Deadline is reporting that Storm Reid (The Invisible Man) and Nia Long (Fatal Affair) are set to lead the cast of Searching 2, the follow-up to the hit 2018 ‘screenlife’ thriller.

Rather than a direct follow-up to the original, the film is set to tell a new story with a new set of characters, but will retain the same format with the narrative playing out through computer screens and smartphone devices.

Searching editors Nick Johnson and Will Merrick are making their directorial debut on the film, which will see Reid and Long joined by Joaquim de Almeida, Ken Leung, Amy Landecker, Daniel Henney, Megan Suri and Tim Griffin.
