Jeff Fowler confirms that Sonic the Hedgehog 2 has wrapped filming

May 13, 2021 by Matt Rodgers

At a speed befitting of the spikey blue hedgehog himself, director Jeff Fowler has confirmed that Sonic the Hedgehog 2 has wrapped filming in Vancouver.

It only feels like five minutes ago that Sonic the Hedgehog was collecting all of the gold rings as one of the last pre-pandemic blockbusters, making $319M globally just as the world began to shutdown.

That’s a wrap in Vancouver! Thank you to all the amazing cast/crew in this city… so much incredible talent helping make #SonicMovie2 truly special (and spoiler alert… EPIC! )

Fowler is back in the directors chair again having made his debut on the well-received original, with Ben Schwartz returning to voice Sonic, alongside James Marsden’s Sheriff Tom, and Tika Sumpter as his wife Maddie.
