Kate Hudson joins the cast of Rian Johnson’s Knives Out 2

May 21, 2021 by Liam Waddington

Rian Johnson’s upcoming Knives Out sequel has added yet another member to its cast as The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Kate Hudson is the latest actor to join the roster.

Hudson most recently starred in Music, the heavily criticized film debut from Sia, which earned Hudson a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. She has also starred in Almost Famous, The Skeleton Key, Something Borrowed and Deepwater Horizon.

Hudson will join an already announced cast including Daniel Craig, who is reprising his Knives Out role as Benoit Blanc as well as newcomers Dave Bautista (Army of the Dead), Edward Norton (Motherless Brooklyn), Janelle Monáe (Hidden Figures), Kathryn Hahn (WandaVision) and Leslie Odom Jr. (Hamilton).

While plot and characters details are currently being kept under wraps, we do know that filming is set to begin this summer in Greece after Netflix recently won the rights for two sequels to 2019’s Knives Out. The sequel will once again be written and directed by Johnson.
