Warhammer – Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground out now on PC and consoles

May 27, 2021 by Andrew Newton

Focus Home Interactive and developer Gasket Games have announced the release of Warhammer – Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground on Xbox One, Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.  This new action-packed, turn-based strategy game takes players to the dark-fantasy world of Warhammer and pits immortal knights against the powers of Chaos and the forces of the dead and restless.  Watch the new launch trailer below….

In Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground take charge of one of three armies and take part in epic, fast-paced tactical battles.  Fight for superiority as the avatars of Sigmar, the Stormcast Eternals, the envious and hateful Nighthaunt or the disease ridden Maggotkin who long to spread the glory of the foul Chaos god, Nurgle, across the land.

Players will be able to customise their army and lead them in battle through a non-linear procedurally generated campaign where they will be able to collect cards that will give them access to new heroes, units, wargear, skills, weapons and more.  Each playthrough will allow players to find unique gear and units.

Combat will take place over battlefields where every tile has tactical relevance, capture tiles with ancient chests filled to the brim with secrets and rewards or dominate tiles containing energy filling aethyr pools.

In the game’s online multiplayer mode, players will be able to compete with others across all platforms thanks to full crossplay support.

Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground features:

  • Dynamic, turn-based warfare in solo and PvP modes.
  • Command a highly customisable army and collect new types of units, equipment, and unlock devastating skills.
  • A non-linear campaign that allows players to overcome new odds and find unique gear.
  • Play with aothers with full crossplay support.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
