An all new RoboCop game is coming to PC and consoles in 2023

July 7, 2021 by Andrew Newton

NACON and developer Teyon have partnered up with leading film and TV company Metro Goldwyn Mayer (MGM) to release a brand new video game based on RoboCop,  particularly the Robocop of the original first 3 movies.  Titled RoboCop: Rogue City, NACON have scheduled a release date on PC and consoles for 2023, so a long time to wait but hopefully worth it.  You can watch a new teaser trailer below.

Based on the franchise that started in 1987, RoboCop: Rogue City will be an original story that remains completely faithful to the films and will allow players to take the role of RoboCop himself.

“We’re delighted to be teaming up with MGM to offer a new vision of a popular franchise that was created over 30 years ago. This game is the perfect fit to pursue our aim of offering different gaming experiences to the widest possible audience,” said Alain Falc, CEO of NACON.

Robert Marick, Executive Vice President Global Consumer Products and Experiences, at MGM, said, “We’re very much looking forward to collaborating with NACON and Teyon to bring one of MGM’s most timeless I.P.’s back to gaming platforms with a brand-new story. The film is known for gripping action and complex storytelling, and we are excited for RoboCop fans to experience this first hand through the game.”

Look out for more news on RoboCop: Rogue City coming soon.  In the meantime, remember to Serve the Public Trust, Protect the Innocent and Uphold the Law.
