Jake Johnson teases Peter B. Parker return in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2

July 24, 2021 by EJ Moreno

Peter B. Parker stole the show in the Oscar-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The older version of the Spider-Man, voiced by Jake Johnson, became an instant fan-favorite and added a lot of heart to the already impactful film.

For the upcoming sequel, many fans want to see the actor return to the role. No one wants to see this return more than Peter B. Parker himself. Jake Johnson recently spoke about the behind-the-scenes details on his potential sequel appearance.

When speaking with The Movie Dweeb, Johnson opened up returning as Peter B. Parker. While they are still in negotiations, it seems like the actor is hopeful:

“I’ve been working on a contract,” said Johnson. “I believe Peter B. Parker is making a return…All I know is that I heard nothing for the longest time and I was very sad. I really loved playing Peter B. Parker. I would like to know what happens with Peter B. Parker. I think the way his journey ended in the first movie was very open-ended. So, when I got word that they were working on a deal or figuring it all out, I thought I truly can’t wait to see what the writers came up with.”
