Pokémon UNITE coming to Nintendo Switch next week

July 15, 2021 by Andrew Newton

The Pokémon Company and TiMi Studio Group have announced that Pokémon UNITE will release on Nintendo Switch on 21st July.  To celebrate the game’s release, those players who log in to the Switch version will receive a Unite license for Zeraora.  Two new trailers can be seen below, the first showcases Zeraora and his electric abilities and the second is a launch date announcement trailer…

Zeraora is an awesome Pokémon who is capable of closing in on his opponent in the blink of an eye.  His main move is Plasma Gale, which creates a powerful electrical blast that forms a zone of plasma around the strike zone.  This move causes a massive amounts of damage to his opponent.  Zeraora will be available to any player who logs in to the Switch version by 31st August, however this won’t be the only opportunity to get your hands on this powerful Pokémon.

Pokémon UNITE is the very first Pokémon strategic team battle game and will see players take on others in 5-on-5 team battles.  Pokémon trainers will need to cooperate with teammates to defeat wild Pokémon and their opposing team within a set time, while trying to score more points at the same time.  Battles are also the excellent opportunity to level up Pokémon as well.

Pokémon UNITE  launches on Nintendo Switch on 21st July and will be free to start, though there will be optional in-game purchases available.
