Live-action Rick and Morty clips feature Christopher Lloyd and Jaeden Martell, teases more…

September 7, 2021 by Matt Rodgers

As a wrap-around to the season five finale of Rick and Morty, Adult Swim have been sending the internet into a state of Wubba Lubba Dub-Dub! with a series of live-action clips featuring Back to the Future’s Christopher Lloyd as Rick Sanchez and Midnight Special’s Jaeden Martell as Morty Smith. The trio of teasers have also been accompanied by cryptic codes such as ‘C-137’, ‘C-1.21’ and ‘C-132’, which are yet to be deciphered by the shows legions of fans; take a look at the clips below…

It might take a mind as powerful as the burping, swearing Doc Brown inspired Rick Sanchez to work out what it all means, but speculation is mounting that we could be about to see a live-action special featuring the duo, with some suggesting that the numbers refer to a release date. Your guess is as good as ours.

The fifth season of Rick and Morty, which has hit some all-time creative highs, as well as a few obscure lows, has swung for the fence on a quite a few occasions during this current run, so it wouldn’t be out of the question to imagine Dan Harmon shooting a covert live-action feature starring the very actor who inspired his creation and dropping it at a moments notice. If you’re smarter than us, let us know what you think this all means by heading to our social channels @FlickeringMyth….
