Nightmares await behind the door in trailer for Krysten Ritter-directed The Girl in the Woods

September 27, 2021 by Matt Rodgers

“What’s behind the door?” is the question posited by Peacock’s new original series The Girl in the Woods. Based on a couple of short films created by Crypt TV, the show tells the story of a mysterious door, behind which lies “your worst nightmares”, and the trio of teens who form an unlikely monster-fighting alliance to protect the world from all kinds of beasties and demons.

The first four episodes are directed by Jessica Jones star Krysten Ritter, and you can check out the trailer below…

Set in the Pacific Northwest, The Girl In The Woods follows Carrie’s escape from her mysterious, cult-like colony that guards the world from monsters hidden behind a secret door within the woods.

Starring Stefanie Scott (Carrie), Misha Osherovich (Nolan), Sofia Bryant (Tasha), Will Yun Lee (Arthur Dean), Kylie Liya Page (Sara), Reed Diamond (Hosea) and Leonard Roberts (Khalil). Directed by Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones) and Jacob Chase (Come Play).

The Girl In The Woods is streaming from October 21st on Peacock.
