Watch the opening sequence from Star Trek: Prodigy

September 3, 2021 by Amie Cranswick

Having cast its villains earlier in the week in John Noble and Jimmi Simpson, Paramount+ has now shared the opening title sequence for Star Trek: Prodigy, the new animated entry in the Star Trek canon, which marks not only the first CG-animated Trek offering, but also the first to be aimed primarily at younger viewers; watch the opening sequence here…

Star Trek: Prodigy follows a motley crew of young aliens who must figure out how to work together while navigating a greater galaxy, in search for a better future. These six young outcasts know nothing about the ship they have commandeered – a first in the history of the Star Trek franchise – but over the course of their adventures together, they will each be introduced to Starfleet and the ideals it represents.

Star Trek: Prodigy is set to premiere on Paramount+ later in the year.
