Zachary Levi is Kurt Warner in trailer for sports drama American Underdog

September 22, 2021 by Amie Cranswick

Lionsgate has released a poster and trailer for the upcoming sports drama American Underdog. Based on Kurt Warner and Michael Silver’s book All Things Possible, the film stars Zachary Levi as Warner – the Hall of Fame quarterback who went from grocery store stockboy to NFL MVP; take a look here…

The film centers on Warner’s unique story and years of challenges and setbacks that could have derailed his aspirations to become an NFL player – but just when his dreams seemed all but out of reach, it is only with the support of his wife, Brenda (Anna Paquin, The Piano), head coach Dick Vermeil (Dennis Quaid, Any Given Sunday) and the encouragement of the rest of his family, coaches, and teammates that Warner perseveres and finds the strength to show the world the champion that he already is.

American Underdog is directed by Andrew Erwin and Jon Erwin and stars Zachary Levi, Anna Paquin and Dennis Quaid.
