October 26, 2021 by Matt Rodgers

With David Leitch directed action flick Bullet Train and romantic adventure The Lost City set for release in 2022, Sandra Bullock has a slew of films lined up to mark her return to the big-screen for the first time since 2018’s streaming success Bird Box. The first out of the pen is another collaboration with Netflix, ex-con drama The Unforgivable, which is directed by System Crasher‘s Nora Fingscheidt, and features Bullock as a recently released prisoner struggling to adjust to life in the real world having served 20-years behind bars. Released from prison after serving a sentence for a violent crime, Ruth Slater (Bullock) re-enters a society that refuses to forgive her past. Facing severe judgment from the place she once called home, her only hope for redemption is finding the estranged younger sister she was forced to leave behind.

Also starring Vincent D’Onofrio, Jon Bernthal, Richard Thomas, Linda Emond, Aisling Franciosi, Rob Morgan, Emma Nelson, William Pullen, Tom Guiry, and Viola Davis, The Unforgivable is released on Netflix on December 10th.
