Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Fiona Shaw join John Krasinski’s next film

November 1, 2021 by Gary Collinson

A Quiet Place writer-director John Krasinski has enlisted Killing Eve and Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge and actress Fiona Shaw for his upcoming fantasy comedy at Paramount Pictures.

Plot details on the as-yet-untitled film are being kept under wraps, but THR reports that the story will follow a child’s journey to rediscover their imagination. It is based on an original idea from Krasinski, who is writing and directing as well as starring alongside Ryan Reynolds, and filming is set to get underway in the summer.

Emmy winner Waller-Bridge is currently shooting Indiana Jones 5 alongside Harrison Ford, and recently contributed to the script for Daniel Craig’s James Bond swansong No Time To Die. Meanwhile Shaw, who was Emmy nominated for her work on both Fleabag and Killing Eve, will next be seen in the Disney+ series Star Wars: Andor.
