The Boys gets a Diabolical animated spinoff series

December 8, 2021 by Gary Collinson

Amazon is looking to expand the world of The Boys beyond the upcoming college-set spinoff, with the streamer announcing an eight-episode order for an animated anthology series entitled The Boys Presents: Diabolical. Here’s The Boys star Karl Urban with the reveal…

The Boys Presents: Diabolical is being executive produced by Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, and as the teaser notes, will feature stories written by the likes of Awkwafina, Garth Ennis, Eliot & Ilana Glazer, Simon Racioppa, Justin Roiland & Ben Bayouth, Andy Samberg and Aisha Tyler.

“Ever since we saw the animated film The Animatrix, a series of short animated films set in the universe of The Matrix, we’ve wanted to rip it off,” said Rogen and Goldberg. “Today that dream has come true.”

The Boys Presents: Diabolical is slated to arrive on Amazon at some point in 2022, along with the third season of the main show.
