Chris Evans joins Dwayne Johnson for Amazon’s holiday action flick Red One

January 25, 2022 by Matt Rodgers

Chris Evans has signed on to co-star with Dwayne Johnson in Amazon Studios’ upcoming holiday action film Red One.

Red One, which was described as a “globe-trotting, four-quadrant action-adventure comedy” which will open up “a whole new universe to explore within the holiday genre” when it was announced last year, will reunite Johnson with his Jumanji director Jake Kasdan, and writer Chris Morgan, who worked on Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw, The Fate of the Furious, Furious 7, Fast & Furious 6 and franchise high-point Fast Five.

Joining the team will be Knives Out and former Captain America star Chris Evans, who has the Russo brothers’ Netflix spy film The Gray Man and Disney+ series Lightyear awaiting release, so will complete the streaming service trifecta by signing on for the Amazon Studios action film.

Are you looking forward to seeing Cap and The Rock team up, or do you think this will be another of those hollow, big-budget streaming service action films? Let us know what you think by heading to our social channels @FlickeringMyth…
