February 17, 2022 by Liam Waddington

After directing Chapter 12: The Siege in Season two, Carl Weathers has confirmed that he will be returning to the director’s chair when The Mandalorian returns for its third season.

Taking to Twitter, Weathers – who also stars in the series as Greef Karga – confirmed that he will return for directorial duties for at least one episode of the new season, stating: “this is the way”.

Although there has been no confirmation as of writing this, it is safe to assume that Weathers will also be returning as Greef Karga after the supporting character has played a pivotal role in the plot for the first two seasons.

The first two seasons of The Mandalorian are available to stream now on Disney+ and features a cast that includes Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, Bill Burr, Ming-Na Wen, Temuera Morrison, Katee Sackhoff, Timothy Olyphant, Nick Nolte, Werner Herzog, Amy Sedaris, Omid Abtahi, Rosario Dawson, Sasha Banks and Mark Hamill.
