Trailer for Netflix’s The Sea Beast promises a spectacular high-seas adventure

March 30, 2022 by Matt Rodgers

Fans of animation should sit up and take notice when a new film from Chris Williams, the Academy-Award winning director of Moana and Big Hero 6, comes sailing over the horizon, and that’s exactly what Netflix’s The Sea Beast is.

Featuring the voices of Karl Urban (Star Trek), Zaris-Angel Hator (Black Earth Rising), Jared Harris (Morbius), Marianne Jean-Baptiste (In Fabric), Dan Stevens (Beauty and the Beast) and Kathy Burke (Pan), the trailer promises a spectacular high-seas adventure; check it out here…

In an era when terrifying beasts roamed the seas, monster hunters were celebrated heroes – and none were more beloved than the great Jacob Holland. But when young Maisie Brumble stows away on his fabled ship, he’s saddled with an unexpected ally. Together they embark on an epic journey into uncharted waters and make history. From Academy Award winning filmmaker Chris Williams (Moana, Big Hero Six, Bolt), The Sea Beast takes us to where the map ends, and the true adventure begins.

The Sea Beast sets sail on Netflix from July 8th, 2022.
