Ms. Marvel to team with Wolverine, Moon Knight and Venom and more this summer

April 15, 2022 by Gary Collinson

As the character makes her live-action debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the star of her very own Disney+ series from Marvel Studios, Kamala Khan is about to embark on a Marvel Universe-spanning mystery in comic book form as Ms. Marvel teams with the likes of Wolverine, Moon Knight and Venom in a series over oversized one-shots from writer Jody Hauser and artist Ze Carlos.

“I’m thrilled to be back playing in the Marvel super hero sandbox, especially with a character at vital as Ms. Marvel,” Houser said. “Teaming her up with some of the darker heroes of the 616 shows just how bright her light really is.”

“Ms. Marvel is such a powerful and versatile member of the MU, and putting her in a huge scale adventure shoulder to shoulder with harder-edged heroes like Venom, Moon Knight, and Wolverine, is going to maybe surprise some readers with her range,” Editor Mark Basso said. “If you missed her earlier adventures, know this: Kamala Khan is a super hero. Full stop.  And when you get her in the mix with a crew like this, you know something BIG is going down.”

The action will begin this July with the release of Ms. Marvel & Wolverine #1, which will be available with the above main cover from Sara Pichelli as well as the following variants from Mahmud Asrar and Peach Momoko…

“Ms. Marvel,” launching on Disney+ in Summer 2022, is a new series that introduces Kamala Khan—a 16-year-old Pakistani-American growing up in Jersey City. A great student, an avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, she has a special affinity for superheroes, particularly Captain Marvel. But Kamala struggles to fit in at home and at school—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life is easier with super powers, right?

Ms. Marvel sees Iman Vellani starring alongside Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Naki, Azher Usman, Travina Springer, Nimra Bucha, Laurel Marsden and Anjali Bhimani.

Ms. Marvel will premiere on June 8th on Disney+.
