New trailer for Back 4 Blood’s Tunnels of Terror DLC released

April 8, 2022 by Andrew Newton

Warner Bros. Games and Turtle Rock Studios have unveiled the launch trailer for Expansion 1: Tunnels of Terror, the upcoming first major DLC for Back 4 Blood.  This new trailer shows off the all-new action coming to the hit first person co-op zombie shooter on the 12th April.  Enjoy the action in the trailer below…

The Tunnels of Terror introduces two new playable characters and the new trailer introduces Sharice, an axe-wielding firefighter known for her defensive capabilities and Heng, a no-nonsense restaurateur who is exceptionally skilled with his knife.  Players will also get to try out seven new legendary weapons, 12 weapons skins, eight exclusive character skins, new cards and much more.

The new trailer also provides a more detailed look at the new Ridden Hives PvE co-op activity.  This new mode allows teams of up to four players to explore the depths of seven Ridden infested areas full of maze-like tunnels that spread beneath Evansburgh.  Rewards can be gained by outmaneuvering the new Warped Ridden creatures, including the landmine-setting Urchins, horrifying Shredders and damage-dealing Rippers.  These new variations will also be playable in the PvP Swarm mode and both these and the new Cleaners can be earned for use in PvP matches.

The new expansion will also coincide with the release of the No-Hope difficulty level that will be available to all Back 4 Blood players as part of a free update.  This new difficulty level will add an extreme challenge for those players who find the game a little too easy.

Expansion 1: Tunnels of Terror will be available to purchase on the 12th April.
