Slaycation Paradise to get a physical release on Playstation and Nintendo Switch

April 30, 2022 by Andrew Newton

Merge Games and developer Affordable Acquisition have revealed they will be releasing a physical retail version of their upcoming twin-stick shooter Slaycation Paradise for the Nintendo Switch and Playstation 3 and 4.  If you’re bored of the average holiday activities of fighting for the sun loungers then Slaycation Paradise will offer a range of chaotic destinations filled with monsters for slaying action worthy of all warp travellers.

In Slaycation Paradise players are able to warp to a selection of beautiful yet chaotic alternate Earths where they will get to shoot, slash and slay a variety of monsters intent on killing anyone that comes.  There’s a wonderful arsenal of bizarre and brutal weapons for players and their families to use and slay their worries away.  The family that slays together, stays together.

With a merging of twin-stick shooting and tower defence, players will be provided with the Construction Assembly Turret (C.A.T. kit) that will provide more security to players while they slay the mobs and Kaiju-sized monsters that attack.

Slaycation Paradise features:

  • The best features of both twin-stick shooting and tower defence create an engaging gameplay loop with hordes of bloodthirsty enemies attempting to kill you.
  • Discover alternate Earths all going through bizarre End-of-Days type scenarios.
  • Use an apocalyptic selection of weapons from the classic pump shotgun and flamethrower, to the weird and wonderful cat-launcher, magic wands and more.
  • Using the Construction Assembly Turret (C.A.T. kit), create custom defence structures anywhere you like. The C.A.T provides a heightened level of security and ensure players enjoy every moment of their stay at the end of days.
  • Earn Slaycation Club Rewards while touring the different worlds and use them to unlock crazy new weapons and wonderful upgrade perks.

Look out for the physical edition for the Switch and Playstation arriving in retail stores.
