Command knights and monsters in new strategy RPG Brigandine: The Legend

May 12, 2022 by Andrew Newton

Happinet and developer Matrix Software have announced the release of their turn-based strategy RPG Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia on PC via Steam.  This sequel to the classic PlayStation 1 strategy JRPG Brigandine, is a deep strategy game that combines both a beautiful art style and an epic story.  Marking the game’s release on Steam, SRPG fans can get a 15% launch week discount if they purchase now.

In a long ago age the Rune God created the continent of Runersia and five Mana Stones were formed.  As time passed the Mana Stones were embedded into special Brigandine equipment that allowed special individuals the power over mana power, these people were known as Rune Knights and were able to use unique skills, cast magic and summon and control ancient monsters.  The continent split into six nations of humans with five of them divided by Brigandines of Justice, Glory, Freedom, Sanctity and Ego. with the sixth having no Brigandine.

With Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia travel to the continent of Runersia and take control of one of these powerful nations.  Using the abilities of the chosen nation, build up an army of over 100 knights and 50 different monster types then lead it to victory and control the continent.

Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia has been developed by a cast of famous names in the industry, including scenario writer Kenji Terada (Final Fantasy), art director and character designer Raita Kazama (Xenoblade Chronicles), and composer Sato Tenpei (Disgaea).

Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia is available now on Steam for PC.
