Emily Blunt is getting caught in a conspiracy for David Yates in Pain Hustlers

Emily Blunt will take the lead in a criminal conspiracy thriller from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and The Legend of Tarzan director David Yates.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Pain Hustlers will be written by Wells Tower (The True American) and tell the story of a high school dropout who lands a job with a failing pharmaceutical start-up situated on a Florida strip mall. She catapults the company into the high life and finds herself in the middle of a criminal conspiracy with deadly consequences.

Pain Hustlers official synopsis reads: “Dreaming of a better life for her and her young daughter, Liza Drake (Blunt), a high-school dropout, lands a job with a failing pharmaceutical start-up in a yellowing strip mall in Central Florida. Liza’s charm, guts and drive catapult the company and her into the high life, where she soon finds herself at the center of a criminal conspiracy with deadly consequences. In the vein of The Big Short, American Hustle and The Wolf of Wall Street, Pain Hustlers’ is a hilarious, dramatic and wild journey to the corrupt heart of the American dream.”

Next up for Emily Blunt is Christopher Nolan’s ensemble piece Oppenheimer, while Yates is just coming off the back of Wizarding World blockbuster Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.
