Peacock’s Twisted Metal series rounds out its cast

June 6, 2022 by Gary Collinson

Having found its leads in Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz and Thomas Haden Church, Peacock has now rounded out the cast of its upcoming Twisted Metal TV series with the addition of Joe Seanoa (a.k.a. AEW star Samoa Joe), Richard Cabral (Mayans M.C.), Mike Mitchell (The Tomorrow War), Tahj Vaughans (P-Valley), and Lou Beatty Jr. (A Million Little Things).

Samoa Joe is set to physically portray the character of Sweet Tooth, who is being voiced by Will Arnett, with Cabral as Loud, Mitchell as Stu, Vaughans as Mike, and Beatty as Tommy. The new additions join the previously announced Neve Campbell (Scream), who is set for a recurring guest role as Raven.

Twisted Metal is based upon the video game franchise of the same name and follows “a motor-mouthed Milkman (Mackie) who is offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a trigger-happy car thief (Beatriz), he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck.”

The half-hour comedy series is being executive produced by Deadpool screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, with Michael Jonathan Smith (Cobra Kai) serving as showrunner and Kitao Sakurai (Bad Trip) directing.
