Black Panther: Wakanda Forever merch offers first look at Dominique Thorne’s Ironheart

July 18, 2022 by Gary Collinson

Despite being four months out from release, we’re yet to see anything in the way of official marketing for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, although that will surely change when Marvel Studios takes to the stage in Hall H of the San Diego Comic-Con next Saturday, July 23rd.

Officially-released promo material may be scarce, but we have had a few glimpses at the Ryan Coogler-directed sequel thanks to leaked merchandise, including promo art of Letitia Wright’s Shuri and Danai Gurira’s Okoye along with some artwork of the villain who we won’t spoil in this post, but do spoil in this one.

Well, we can add another first-look to the list as some T-shirt designs have surfaced online that show Dominique Thorne (If Beale Street Could Talk) as teenage engineering prodigy Riri Williams, who is shown in an early prototype version of her Ironheart armor, which she’ll presumably go on to develop as we head into the character’s own Disney+ TV series in 2023.

Take a look at the prototype Ironheart armor below via Twitter and be sure to let us know what you make of the design on our social channels @FlickeringMyth…
