IFC Films has released a poster and trailer for director Julian Higgins’ upcoming thriller God’s Country which stars Thandiwe Newton as a former police officer living in a rural town who finds herself caught up in an escalating battle of wills with two hunters she finds trespassing on her property.
A black former police officer turned professor in a rural college town is drawn into an escalating battle of wills that puts her most deeply held values to the test in this modern Western.
Joining Thandiwe Newton in the cast of God’s Country are Jeremy Bobb, Joris Jarsky, Jefferson White, Kai Lennox, and Tanaya Beatty.
