Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story reveals first look

Netflix has released the first image for its Bridgerton prequel limited series, now officially titled Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. The image sees India Amarteifio (Line of Duty) as a young Charlotte in her rise to the throne. Check out the photo below…

The series is being written by Bridgerton creator Shonda Rhimes with her serving as showrunner and executive producer alongside Betsy Beers and Tom Verica. Verica will also direct all the episodes.

The story of how the young Queen’s marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton.

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story stars India Amarteifio (Line of Duty), Michelle Fairley (Game of Thrones), Corey Mylchreest (Sandman), Arsema Thomas, Sam Clemmett (The War Below) as Young Brimsley, Richard Cunningham (The Witcher) as Lord Bute, Tunji Kasim (Nancy Drew) as Adolphus, Rob Maloney (Casualty) as the Royal Doctor, Cyril Nri (Cucumber) as Lord Danbury and Bridgerton‘s Golda Rosheuvel, Adjoa Andoh, Ruth Gemmell and Hugh Sachs reprising their roles as Queen Charlotte, Lady Agatha Danbury, Lady Violet Bridgerton and Brimsley respectively.
