Malin Akerman tries to pull off a sperm heist in The Donor Party trailer

February 11, 2023 by Amie Cranswick

Vertical Entertainment has released a poster and trailer for The Donor Party, the upcoming comedy from director Thom Harp.

The film stars Malin Akerman as Jaclyn, a recently divorced woman who is desperate to become a mother, and enlists her friends to help her get pregnant by pulling off ‘the ultimate sperm heist’ on a few unsuspecting “donors”.

Joining Akerman in the cast are Jerry O’Connell, Rob Corddry, Erinn Hayes,  Bria Samoné Henderson, Meadow Williams, Dan Ahdoot, Jeff Torres, Patty Guggenheim, Cedric Yarbrough, Aarti Mann, Rizwan Manji, Beth Dover, Brit Morgan, Jon Daly, and Ryan Hansen.

THE DONOR PARTY follows recently single Jaclyn (Malin Åkerman), who desperately wants to become a mom — by any means necessary. After a messy divorce and countless wasted online dating attempts, she realizes she doesn’t need a husband to make her dream come true. Enlisting her best friends (Erinn Hayes and Bria Henderson), Jaclyn devises a plan to pull off the ultimate sperm heist on unsuspecting donors Tim (Jerry O’Connell), MJ (Dan Ahdoot), Mateo (Jeff Torres) and Armin (Ryan Hansen), all while celebrating an intimate birthday party for her oblivious friend, Geoff (Rob Corddry).

The Donor Party is set for release on March 3rd.
