20th Century Studios has released the first images from director Jessica Yu’s upcoming comedy Quiz Lady which stars Awkwafina as the game show obsessed Anne and Sandra Oh as her trainwreck sister who set out to turn Anne into a gameshow champion to help cover their mothers debts. In the original film, a brilliant but tightly wound, gameshow-obsessed young woman, Anne (Awkwafina), and her estranged, train-wreck of a sister Jenny (Oh), must work together to help cover their mother’s gambling debts. When Anne’s beloved dog is kidnapped, they set out on a wild, cross-country trek to get the cash the only way they know how: by turning Anne into a bona-fide gameshow champion.
Quiz Lady arrives on Disney+ on November 3rd and features a cast that includes Awkwafina, Sandra Oh, Jason Schwartzman, Holland Taylor, Tony Hale, and Will Ferrell.
