Palme d’Or-winner Anatomy of a Fall unveils trailer and poster

August 19, 2023 by Amie Cranswick

Neon has revealed a trailer for the Cannes Palme d’Or winner Anatomy of a Fall ahead of its theatrical release this October.

The French thriller centres on Sandra, a woman who becomes the prime suspect in her husband Samuel’s suspicious death after he is found dead in the snow below their chalet, but the investigation into his death leads to an unsettling psychological journey into their conflicted relationship. Watch the trailer below…

For the past year, Sandra, her husband Samuel, and their eleven-year-old son Daniel have lived a secluded life in a remote town in the French Alps. When Samuel is found dead in the snow below their chalet, the police question whether he was murdered or committed suicide. Samuel’s suspicious death is presumed murder, and Sandra becomes the main suspect. What follows is not just an investigation into the circumstances of Samuel’s death but an unsettling psychological journey into the depths of Sandra and Samuel’s conflicted relationship.

Directed by Justine Triet, the film stars Sandra Hüller, Swann Arlaud, Milo Machado Graner, Antoine Reinartz, Samuel Theis, Jehnny Beth, Saadia Bentaïeb, Camille Rutherford, Anne Rotger, and Sophie Fillières.

Anatomy of a Fall arrives in cinemas on October 13th.
