Is Guardians of the Galaxy’s Pom Klementieff heading to the newly formed DC Studios? Reports are conflicting, but one source has Klementieff leaving the role of Mantis behind and joining James Gunn for Superman: Legacy.
The rumor started with THR posting a recent story putting Klementieff and Miriam Shor in the upcoming Superman reboot. The report had few details, with “specifics of the pair’s roles in this case are under wraps.” But now, it seems at least one of those casting stories isn’t true, as James Gunn himself shut down the Klementieff casting, posting on Threads:
“Despite Pom being one of my favorite actors to work with, this is 100% not true. Not only is Pom not in the movie, but no one has ever even discussed her being in the movie, nor do I have any idea what role she would possibly play.”

As for now, the casting is seemingly over. Production is set to begin its filming at Leavesden Studios in London in early Spring next year.

Superman: Legacy is scheduled to open in theaters on July 11th, 2025.
