5 Seriously Disappointing Boss Fights in Video Games

July 30, 2020 by Red Stewart

Red Stewart presents a look at the most disappointing boss fights in video games…

Boss fights don’t quite make or break a game, but they can definitely be a big plus. Fighting an enemy that requires smarter playing than usual can be a rewarding experience. And when a developer puts the time into it, these can be some of the most memorable parts of a game. After all, who can forget such epic moments in franchises like Dark Souls or Super Mario Bros.?

Sadly, sometimes companies drop the ball. They either set-up a grand finale that disappoints, or release a brainless brawl that doesn’t live up to its potential. Here are 5 of the worst boss fights we have personally experienced, from Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, Alpha Protocol, A Way Out, Mass Effect, and Batman: Arkham Knight. Watch the video here…

What are your most disappointing boss fights in gaming? Let us know in the video comments, or on our social channels @FlickeringMyth, and be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more exclusive videos and gaming content.
