Disney has finally announced the inevitable: After grossing a whopping $758 million worldwide, Maleficent is getting a sequel.
According to TheWrap, the first film’s screenwriter, Linda Woolverton, is in talks to pen the follow-up, while star Angelina Jolie is expected to return. Joe Roth will once again produce, though director Robert Stromberg isn’t likely to helm the sequel.
