May 24, 2018 by Villordsutch

The venue for RuneFest 2018 has now been announced by Jagex.  Taking place on the 5th & 6th of October this annual celebration, will be celebrating both RuneScape and Old School RuneScape.  RuneFest 2018 will be an event to remember, for within the walls of the Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre on the 5th October you’ll be able to watch RuneScape Live, an exclusive performance of the RuneScape music by the world-famous Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.

RuneScape Live, will see key pieces from the games 1000+ strong library of music, newly-arranged by multi-award-winning video games composer James Hannigan (Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix the video game, Saints Row IV), RuneScape Live will set the stage for the next day’s RuneFest celebrations.

Tickets are available for £150 at the official RuneFest website, and provide access to both RuneScape Live on Friday 5th October, the Night Before Party following the live performance, and RuneFest 2018 the next day.

While the theme for the eighth RuneFest will be revealed at a later date, the event promises to build upon previous years mix of announcements, LAN gaming, role-playing, and developer panels. Preparations for RuneFest 2018 come as Jagex continues to countdown to the launch of Old School RuneScape and RuneScape on mobile devices over the coming months.

Head of Events at Jagex, Josh Winward, said:

“Every year, RuneFest becomes a bigger landmark date in the calendar – it’s a way for us to celebrate all things RuneScape with our incredible and passionate community, and give something back to them. RuneFest’s new home at Farnborough provides us with the opportunity to bring more of our living game world of Gielinor to life than ever before. This year, the new addition of RuneScape Live, a show featuring the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, promises to make RuneFest 2018 one of the most special events in Jagex and RuneScape’s 17-year history.”
