Defiance 2050 coming to gamers this July

June 13, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Trion Worlds have announced 10th July release date for their free to play sci-fi MMO shooter, Defiance 2050.  This re-imagining of their 2013 open world shooter will take advantage of modern hardware and make major updates to be more appealing to a modern audience.

In Defiance 2050 players will still take on the role of Ark Hunters seeking fortune and glory by battling their way across the post-apocalyptic landscape.  Using alien tech and advanced weaponry players will take on numerous enemies and strange hostile creatures in the ruins of the old Earth.

From 22nd June through to the 25th, Trion Worlds will host an open beta test on PC.  Players will be able to access a majority of the character classes including the Assassin, Guardian, Combat Medic and Assault classes plus a variety of missions to embark on.  To sign up for the beta visit here.

Three Defiance 2050 Founder’s Packs will be available to pre-order from the 19th June and will unlock classes and upgrades, provide additional currency and grant them access to the Head Start period, which begins on 6th July.
