Toby Kebbell wants Doctor Doom to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe

July 15, 2015 by Gary Collinson

A couple of days ago we brought you some comments from Toby Kebbell about his upcoming role as Doctor Doom in Fox’s superhero reboot Fantastic Four, and now the British actor has been speaking to Cinema Blend about the film, during which he said he’d like to see the Latverian villain joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“[Doom is] pretty much the Marvel villain,” said Kebbell. “You know he destroys Thor. He punches up all those people. I don’t know what the political… I can’t get into this. You’re going to write this, and I’m going to get destroyed. They’re going to sue me, but look: can someone at Marvel and someone at Fox talk, and with Doom, just lend him out, like football? You can have him for the World Cup, that’s it! Then just let me go – let me go and destroy Thor, for goodness sake. I’d love to work with those boys.”

Given the success of the MCU, it’s no surprise that the stars of Fox’s Marvel movies are keen to get on board (Hugh Jackman has spent the last couple of years lobbying for just that), but given the allegedly frosty relationship between the two studios, it seems highly unlikely that we’ll get to see any kind of crossover.

Saying that, we all thought the same thing about Spider-Man…
