Long Live the Lich now available for Guild Wars 2

June 27, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Guild Wars 2 players get ready for a new storyline, a new weapon and more as Long Live the Lich, the third episode in Guild Wars 2‘s Living World Season 4, goes live.  This latest episode is free for all players to access who own Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire.  The new trailer below shows off more of the new environments and features this episode offers…

In Long Live the Lich players will head to the free city of Amnoon in an attempt to free the asuran entomologist Gorrik, who has been accused of ploting to unleash a deadly infestation of scarabs, where they will once again confront the undead overlord of Elona, Palawa Joko.

This latest episode will introduce Tyria’s fastest and friendliest invertebrate, the Roller Beetle plus the mastery to be able to ride it.  The Roller Beetle will be able to speed over the sand dunes, break through barricades with ease and knock the Awakened flying.

Also introduced is the new fractal dungeon Deepstone.  This dungeon is a long abandoned dwarven ruin filled with deadly traps and even deadlier swarms of spiders although there are great treasures to be discovered.  Deepstone can be accessed by visiting Dessa in the Mistlock Observatory.

Finally, players will be able to gain access to the new legendary warhorn Verdarach.  When used, this horn will call upon the spirits of those who died in combat and unleash them as vengeful wraiths.  Those who are slain by the wraiths will have their souls taken and added to the spirit’s ranks.

Long Live the Lich is available now.
