Rick might not die in The Walking Dead according to Andrew Lincoln

July 24, 2018 by Samuel Brace

Andrew Lincoln has suggested that death might not be the mechanism that causes Rick Grimes to leave show the next season.

The news that the next season of The Walking Dead would see the show’s main character, Rick, leave the series certainly surprised many fans. Afterward, the going assumption was that Rick would be killed off in some way but according to Lincoln, this might not be the case.

Speaking to ComicBook.com during San Diego Comic Con, the actor said Rick might instead receive a similar treatment as the character Morgan, who instead of perishing, departed the show and now appears on Fear the Walking Dead: “So, yes, there is that way, and then there is obviously the other way which we’ve done quite a lot. Obviously, I’m not going to tell you which way. I mean, I prefer the Lennie James of it all, but I think what we have in store this season is truly remarkable and I’m very, very proud of the work that we’ve done.”

No matter what happens to Rick in the end, it will certainly be a huge turning point in the show’s history. But what are you hoping for? Would you like Rick to survive or should the show simply kill him off?
