It seems that big changes are in store for Arrow in an effort to freshen up The CW’s DC show as it heads into its upcoming seventh season.
Star Stephen Amell has already teased that “a new storytelling technique” will be introduced, and now Colton Haynes – who is reprising his role of Roy Harper as a series regular – has revealed to Comic Book that incoming showrunner Beth Schwartz is set to take the show back to its roots.
“I can’t say much, but we’re returning back to our roots on the show,” said Haynes. “Not the characters, but the show — We’re going back to how we were a couple of seasons ago. But it’s going to just be so good. Beth Schwartz, our new showrunner, is just — She’s a dream. She’s changing everything and she’s making everything the way I think the show was at the beginning.”
