Steve Oedekerk is working on a Kung Pow: Enter the Fist sequel

July 26, 2015 by Gary Collinson

It looks like Kung Pow 2: Tongue of Fury could become a reality, with comedian Steve Oedekerk revealing that he’s starting developing a sequel to 2002’s cult martial arts spoof Kung Pow: Enter the Fist.

Oedekerk announced the news last week at the Dragonfest Convention in Burbank, California, although he also stressed that as yet he is unsure as to what the plot will entail.

The original film saw Oedekerk digitally inserting himself over footage of Jimmy Wang Yu in 1977’s Tiger and Crane Fist, with redubbed voices and additional scenes. It was hammered by critics and failed to make much of an impact at the box office, but has since developed a cult following.
