Oscar Isaac shares his thoughts on those who hated Star Wars: The Last Jedi

August 28, 2018 by Samuel Brace

Oscar Isaac, one of the stars of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, has shared his thoughts about those who hated the movie.

Despite the fact that Star Wars: The Last Jedi was a critically acclaimed movie, receiving rave reviews from the media, audiences were far more divided on their view of the film, with some even outright hating the movie.

Many people who were involved with The Last Jedi have shared their thoughts on the reaction and now Oscar Isaac has weighed in, telling Yahoo! Entertainment:

“What I think is really special about the whole thing — particularly for people that really didn’t agree with where the story went — is that it’s often a great inspiration to do your own stuff. Obviously, making your own Star Wars movie is a bit of a tough challenge, but at least from a narrative standpoint maybe you make your own thing and then show what you would want. Make what you would want to see.”

While Isaac is right that making your own Star Wars movie is a tough task, unless you’re hired by Lucasfilm, of course, that hasn’t stopped some individuals from pushing for a remake of the film or making fan edits to the existing movie. Perhaps this proves Isaac’s point about inspiring others to get creative.
