Carla Gugino to replace Christina Hendricks in Cameron Crowe’s Showtime pilot Roadies

August 4, 2015 by Scott J. Davis

After Mad Men star Christina Hendricks left Cameron Crowe’s Roadies, a comedy pilot set for Showtime, the producers have been on the look out for a new actress for the role and now The Hollywood Reporter has said that a leading lady has been found.

The lucky lady is Carla Gugino (San Andreas), takes over the role of Shelli, a role which the producers have opted to recast after the character was revamped, and is described as the production manager of a successful rock band.

The cast for the pilot also includes Luke Wilson (Old School), Imogen Poots (She’s Funny That Way), Keisha Castle-Hughes (Whale Rider), Rafe Spall (Life of Pi) and Colson Baker a.k.a. Machine Gun Kelly (Beyond the Lights).

Oscar winner Crowe is writing and directing the pilot, with J.J. Abrams (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) and Winnie Holzman (My So-Called Life) executive producing.
