Sam Claflin joins Charlie’s Angels

Variety is reporting that Sam Claflin is set to reunite with his The Hunger Games co-star Elizabeth Banks on the Charlie’s Angels reboot, which is filming now ahead of a 2019 release.

Details on Claflin’s role are being kept under wraps, but the actor joins a cast that includes Kristen Stewart (Personal Shopper), Naomi Scott (Power Rangers) and Ella Balinska (Midsomer Murders) as the new team of Angels, along with Banks, Patrick Stewart (Logan) and Djimon Hounsou (Guardians of the Galaxy) as Bosleys and Jonathan Tucker (Westworld) and Luis Gerardo Mendez (Murder Mystery) in as-yet-unrevealed roles.

Charlie’s Angels is slated for release on September 27th 2019. Claflin’s upcoming projects meanwhile include crime thriller The Corrupted, action film Borderland, and the animated movie Watch the Skies.
