Game of Thrones’ George R.R. Martin teases a Targaryen prequel series

November 1, 2018 by Samuel Brace

George R.R. Martin, the creator of the book series that spawned Game of Thrones, has teased fans about a second prequel show.

We already know that once Game of Thrones finishes its final ever season, that a prequel series will take its place.

There had also been talk of multiple spin offs being in-development but now George R.R Martin has teased fans via his blog with details of another prequel:

“Meanwhile, there are still a couple of other possible prequels in active development,” Martin posted. “I can’t tell you the subject matter of those projects, no, sorry, wish I could. The readers among you might want to grab a copy of Fire & Blood when it is released on November 20, though.”

Fire and Blood, the book which Martin refers to above, is an upcoming history of the famous House Targaryen. The book is said to reveal new information on the most important moments of this legendary family.

So it seems like Martin is suggesting that this second prequel series would dive into House Targaryen. Or the writer is just plugging his new book. We will have to wait and see…
