The CW developing Dr. Mirage TV series

December 7, 2018 by Gary Collinson

After failing to get the project off the ground back in during the 2016-2017 season, The CW is taking another crack at adapting the Valiant superhero comic book series Dr. Mirage as a TV drama series.

Deadline reports that Reign co-creator Laurie McCarthy is developing this new take, redeveloping the original 2016 script from Gary Dauberman (It, Annabelle).

Dr. Mirage follows Dr. Shan Fong, a female paranormal investigator who can communicate with dead souls except the one she wants to reach – the love of her life.

The potential series joins a growing list of Valiant Entertainment properties in development for both the big and small screen, beginning with the Vin Diesel-headlined Bloodshot movie, which is set for release on February 21st 2020.

Also in the works is the long-gestating web series Ninjak vs. the Valiant Universe, along with a movie adaptation of the plus-size superhero series Faith.
