VR block breaker VRetired now available on Steam Early Access

December 9, 2018 by Andrew Newton

HTC Vive and Oculus Rift gamers looking for a brick breaking game that requires extreme skill while providing a touch of 80s nostalgia are now able to download Borisoft’s VR block breaker game, VRetired, on Steam Early Access.  A new Early Access release trailer can be watched below…

Taking players back to heady, neon filled days of the 80s, VRetired will combine the classic fun of the Breakout/ Arkanoid games with modern day VR tech, and just like the classic old block breaker games, VRetired will have players destroy bricks, collect bonuses and take on level after level of increasingly challenging stages that will see players become the bat.  Becoming the bat is going to be very energetic so after each level a handy stats page can be viewed and includes a calorie counter so you can see what you’ve burnt off.

VRetired includes:

  • Dynamic gameplay that will challenge not only dexterity but also will help warm up exercises.
  • A Party mode to share the challenge with friends.
  • A casual and arcade mode.
  • Find out how many calories have been burned while playing with the game’s calorie counter.
  • Go back to the 80s, to the age of arcades, sportscars and neon….lots of neon.
  • A fresh look on the time tested mechanics from games such as Batty, Breakout, Arkanoid.
  • A variety of bricks and levels.

HTC Vive and Oculus Rift owners can buy VRetired on Steam Early Access now.
