Cary Elwes to star in superhero drama The Hyperions

December 10, 2018 by Gary Collinson

The Princess Bride and Saw star Cary Elwes has signed on to star in the independent superhero drama The Hyperions, THR has revealed.

The film is being written and directed by Jon McDonald, and will see Elwes portraying a professor who invents a device called the Titan badge, which grants humans superpowers and creates an unusual family of superheroes who rise to fame and prestige. However, years later, two of the original superheroes go to extraordinary lengths to get their Titan badges back.

Elwes was last seen on the big screen playing Andy Warhol in Billionaire Boys Club, and is also set to feature in the upcoming third season of Netflix’s Stranger Things.
