The Favourite leads the Online Film Critics Society Awards nominations

The Online Film Critics Society has announced the nominees for its 2019 awards, with Yorgos Lanthimos’ The Favourite leading the field with eight nominations including Best Picture, Best Director (Lanthimos), Best Lead Actress (Olivia Colman) and Best Supporting Actress (Rachel Weisz, Emma Stone).

Following hot on The Favourite’s heels is Alfonso Cuaron’s Roma with seven nominations, followed by Barry Jenkins’ If Beale Street Could Talk on six. Both films will contest the Best Picture award alongside Annihilation, BlakKkKlansman, Eighth Grade, First Reformed, Hereditary, A Star Is Born, Suspiria and You Were Never Really Here.
