Guillermo del Toro making horror film with The Babadook director Jennifer Kent

January 29, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Jennifer Kent, the director of The Babadook, has revealed that she is developing a new horror movie with Guillermo del Toro.

The Babadook is one of most highly thought of horror films in recent years so many might be excited to learn that director Jennifer Kent is teaming up with none other than Guillermo del Toro to make a new horror movie.

Del Toro, of course, is no stranger to horror himself having directed the likes of the very creepy Pan’s Labyrinth. Speaking to Bloody Disgusting in a recent interview, Kent spilled the beans on the team-up without revealing details, saying:

“Look, we’ve got something on the boil. I’m not being secretive but I’m not sure I can talk about it. It’s something scary and I really admire him and his work. I think he’s a true artist so I’m excited to know more. We’re in [the] early stages of that.”

We will have to wait and see just what the project turns out to be but it could be something for horror fans to get excited for down the road.
